White Mountain Pilates PMA is a Teacher Training studio. This means that we take on apprentices and train them to become comprehensive Pilates Instructors. You will see our apprentices around the studio observing sessions and taking notes. You will also see them on the schedule for practice teaching.

450 Hour Comprehensive Pilates Teacher Training
Our signature teacher training program is a professional apprenticeship designed to meet the Pilates Method Alliance PMA CPT testing requirements as well as to instill apprentices with confidence, passion, expertise and professionalism. After completing 450 hours of lecture, observation, self practice, practice teaching and mentorship, apprentices will receive a Certificate of Completion as comprehensively trained Pilates Instructors and will be ready to begin their career in the Pilates profession!
Prerequisites: Minimum of 50 Pilates classes taken as a student.

- 15 observation hours
- 5 assisted/observed teaching hours
- 10 practice teaching hours
- 3 exams (pilates principles, exercises and contraindications, written class format)
- 10 hours self practice
- Lectures covering Mat material
Reformer
- Anatomy
- Successful completion of Mat requirements
- Lectures covering Reformer material
- 3 quizzes (anatomy, reformer structure/exercises/contraindications, written class format)
- 25 observation hours
- 10 hours self practice (more if needed)
- 5 hours assisted/observed teaching
- 15 hours practice teaching
Cadillac/Barrels/Chair/Etc.
- Successful completion of Mat & Reformer requirements
- Lectures covering Chair, Barrels, Cadillac, Toe Corrector, Foot Corrector and Magic Circle
- 70 more hours observation (combination of all apparatus)
- 50 more hours of self practice
- 20 more hours of observed/assisted teaching
- 25 more hours practice teaching
- 6 more exams to include: special populations, chair, barrels, Cadillac, cueing, and a final exam
