ANNA ELKINS - OWNER/FOUNDER/COMPREHENSIVE PILATES INSTRUCTOR/PILATES EXPERT/CORRECTIVE EXERCISE SPECIALIST/PRENATAL & POSTPARTUM FITNESS SPECIALIST
I was introduced to the Pilates method as a teenager through my mom's workout tapes! After high school I began taking my first Pilates classes in NYC as an aspiring professional dancer.
In spring of 2012 I began my Pilates teacher training through Balanced Body University under Joy Karley, beginning in Manhattan, NY and completed through an extensive apprenticeship in Paradise Valley, AZ at the amazing Personalized Pilates under Katrina Foe. I am considered a 3rd generation Pilates Instructor under the legacy line of Lolita San Miguel - who was trained directly under Joseph Pilates himself.
I am comprehensively trained in Pilates Mat & apparatus including Reformer, Cadillac/Trapeze, Chair, Barrels, Springboard, toe corrector, foot corrector, pinwheel and the ped-o-pull. I have additional fitness training in Barre Above, TriggerPoint Therapy myofascial release, TRX suspension training, Pilates Suspension Method and I am a certified Prenatal & Postpartum Fitness Specialist and Corrective Exercise Specialist.
I have successfully worked with professional athletes, pregnant and postpartum receiving mothers, frozen shoulder, pelvic floor prolapse, Diastasis Recti, Parkinson's, MS, blindness, Lyme disease and all sorts of injuries and levels of fitness. I have seen countless transformations throughout the years as clients gain a new sense of integrated control and achieve exciting results.
After teaching for and managing studios for many years in the Phoenix area, bringing Pilates to my hometown in 2019 has brought me more joy than I could have imagined. In 2019 I founded White Mountain Pilates, in 2020 I launched a video on demand platform and in 2022 I developed a Pilates app for mothers where I coached women from all over the world to repair postpartum core dysfunction through the amazing art of Pilates. In 2023 I launched a comprehensive teacher training program and in 2024 I opened a fully equipped Pilates studio.

DEBORAH BAUGHMAN - COMPREHENSIVE PILATES INSTRUCTOR
Deborah is one of our wonderful Comprehensive Pilates Instructors and a graduate of our signature 450+ hour apprentice program. Deborah has over 30 years of experience as a Personal Trainer and Ballet Instructor.
"Fitness has been a part of my life since I was 8 years old. I started with ballet and gradually added more dance classes. I was a runner and a cyclist, and in my 20’s participated in a few short triathlons. I have been a certified Personal Trainer for over 30 years as well as a ballet instructor for over 15 years. Oh how I wish I knew about Pilates at an earlier age!
I was introduced to Pilates by Anna Elkins at the Dance Academy of the White Mountains in 2019. I knew this needed to be a part of my life! Therefore, I purchased a Pilates book and video, which got me learning on my own in addition to taking Anna’s classes. As time went on I thought to myself, “I would love to be a certified Pilates Instructor one day.” Fast forward several years, Anna offered me the opportunity to study under her in the comprehensive Pilates program - this has been a dream come true for me.
The Pilates principles and movements have taught me how to properly use my core and breath through each exercise. I am thrilled to be teaching classes and working with private clients. I have experience working with clients with diastis recti, pelvic floor prolapse, inflexibility, weak core, among other issues. Even after just one session my clients comment on how they feel a difference. I love working with people and tailoring their programs to meet their individual needs." - Deborah

LESLIE FOSTER - APPRENTICE
I was first introduced to Pilates in my early 20s as part of a college elective. After my first semester Pilates, I was hooked! Having been a student athlete I had collected many an injury; I was used to physical activity meeting pain. What I found in Pilates was a practice and physical activity that left my body, feeling stronger, muscles that felt engaged, but not in pain, and a clear mind after each session. I continued to take Pilates each semester until I graduated college.
I received my Bachelors of Science in Kinesiology, in 2005 from California Baptist University. As my life moved on, Pilates practice remained a part of it because I could practice the methods and principles anywhere. 20 years after first discovering Pilates, I am starting the training to become a certified Pilates instructor.
There are many great forms of exercise. I love to swim, walk, jog, and hike. Yet, I always come back to Pilates as my favorite. The minimal impact means less sore muscles, less stress on the body. And it is one of the few practices that truly works the whole body evenly and symmetrically. It has helped me recover from injuries and improve my mental health through many life changes.
My first Pilates instructor was named Anna, in Riverside, California.; I was so blessed to learn from her for two years. Now 20 years later, I am training to become an instructor myself under the watchful guidance of a gifted & seasoned Pilates instructor, Anna Elkins of the White Mountains.
A full circle moment when I connected those dots, and I hope to make them both proud. Once certified, I hope to introduce Pilates practice to many who are struggling with physical injury and imbalances in their body, and are looking to improve their mind-body connection.
